Durham Center for Senior Life

Located in the heart of Downtown Durham, The Durham Center for Senior Life (DCSL) is a hub of programs and services designed to empower and enrich the lives of older adults in our community. Specifically, our mission is to "Enhance the lives of older adults through education, recreation, nutrition and social services in welcoming community settings." Our services help to create a greater sense of connectedness, security, identity, purpose, meaning and growth for adults 55 and above.

With four senior centers, including the downtown Durham Center for Senior Life, DCSL offers a wide array of programs and services for older adults. Services include congregate meals, transportation, adult education, exercise classes, socialization, health promotion, caregiver support services, information referrals, and case assistance. In addition, DCSL operates the only Adult Day Health Center in Durham.
