Triangle Friends of Farmworkers

We are an all volunteer organization of advocates. With our ally, the National Farm Worker Ministry (based in Raleigh), we support the farmworker organization FLOC -- the Farm Labor Organizing Committee.  FLOC has ~ 2,500 farmworker members;  has had a contract with the NC Growers' Association since 2004.  

# Find resources for and make connections with farmworkers # Support farmworker union organizing for better work conditions # Increase awareness of human costs of food production # Engage people of all ages with passion and commitment # Collaborate with existing organizations to promote justice Example of specific project: we recruit and coordinate volunteers who drive specific assigned farmworkers to and from the regional meetings of their organization -- the Farm Labor Organizing Committee (FLOC). These farmworkers have NO other transportation option from their far-flung migrant labor camps.
