Description

Volunteers needed to tend our pollinator garden by removing invasive plants.  Our pollinator garden is a Pollinator Pitstop on the North Carolina Wildlife Federation’s Butterfly Highway. Bring work gloves, garden tools, and drinking water. Insect repellent, long pants, long sleeve shirt, and closed-toe shoes recommended. There are no restroom facilities at this location. 

Directions:

From Chapel Hill, take US 15-501 south towards Pittsboro. Before crossing the Haw River, turn right into a large gravel parking lot.  The garden is next to the shade shelter with murals.

From Pittsboro, take US 15-501 north towards Chapel Hill.  After crossing the Haw River, make a U-turn at the first left and head south a short distance. Turn right into a large gravel parking lot before the bridge.
