General Introduction
Families Moving Forward is excited to begin offering workshops and programs tailored to the needs and interests of the families engaged in our Branching Out program. These families receive case management support for 12 months following their exit from shelter and now we are beginning to offer more of the enriching programs that we have been offering in shelter.
Branching Out Transportation & Childcare Joint Volunteer
Information:
- 18 years or older
- Have transportation to and from an offsite location
- Background check
- Clean driving record
- Copy of license & insurance
- Access to email/phone for communication purposes
- Orientation & Quiz
Objective: Provide families in FMF’s Branching Out program with transportation to and from FMF sponsored enrichment programs. Provide supervision to toddlers and school-aged youth in Families Moving Forward’s Branching Out program.
Duties: In this unique position, volunteers would drive an FMF agency vehicle, or your personal vehicle to pick up families from their homes and drive them to an offsite location, while parents are in programming volunteers would provide supervision to the children, and then drive families back to their homes following the end of programming.
Size: Small groups
Frequency: 2 hours once a week
Schedule: Based on availability Tues - Thurs 6:00 - 8:00pm
