CROP Hunger Walks are community events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local volunteers. Funds raised support local hunger fighting organizations in the Triangle area and the global ministry of Church World Service to address hunger and poverty issues, provide humanitarian aid during and after natural disasters, and support for displaced persons.
The Greater Triangle Area CROP Hunger Walk is scheduled for Sunday, October 30th. The 5K family friendly event will begin and end at Pullen Park in Raleigh.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the following tasks between the hours of 1-5pm:
Setup registration area
Mark walk route and serve as Route Monitors
Distribute water and other refreshments
Clean up
We also invite you to join our CROP Hunger Walk Planning Committee. Time commitment is 2-3 hours per month - may be more in the weeks leading up to CROP Walk day.
Your support will make a difference in the lives of our neighbors locally and globally.
