Fresh Produce Program Distribution Day Packers - Thursdays - 8:30am - 10:30pm

Root Causes’ Fresh Produce Program understands the connection between fresh, nutritious food and overall health. In response to the pandemic, Root Causes’ has adapted to door-to-door contactless deliveries of fresh fruits, vegetables, and non-perishable food items to patients who are food insecure and have chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension.

Volunteers are needed each Thursday to pack and load the vehicles of the volunteers who deliver produce bags to families. The volunteer site location is Farmer Foodshare, 902 N Mangum St, Durham, NC 27701. Volunteers are asked to arrive by 8:15am. Volunteers are expected to adhere to standard COVID safety guidelines. All PPE will be provided.
