Grow-at-Home Kits will support Durham Public County schools thru E.A.T (Education Activities Together,) Early Childcare Centers, and/or Wake County Food Shuttle partner schools. Kits are compact, but they contain everything a student needs to learn how to start seeds, grow herbs or microgreens, and incorporate their harvest in a provided recipe. Volunteers will help in a number of ways:

  • Pack small bags of compost
  • Pack and label seed packets
  • Assemble kits 
  • Pack kits in boxes to be distributed

This packing event takes place at the DPS Hub Farm located in North Durham. Packing will take place in an outdoor pavilion, with social distancing in place. Please dress comfortably for the weather. Masks are required to be worn. Disposable gloves and hand sanitizer are available on site. 

Parking: The parking is shared the lot with Eno Valley Elementary School. Be sure to park near the big tree and gravel lot. See the highlighted area below where to park

Entrance: Is a chain link fence on the back side of the school. See the red arrow of where to enter and walk to the outside gazebo. You will see the set up in the pavilion.
