Description

Be a Kids Voting site leader on Election Day, May, 8 2018. As a Kids Voting site leader, just choose one of Durham’s precincts (or let Kids Voting help you choose one) and line up enough volunteers to run the site from 2:30-7:30 PM and set up the site the evening before.

A few hours of your time can translate into a lifetime of civic engagement and informed voting for a young person. Volunteering with Kids Voting is easy, fun, and rewarding. Kids Voting volunteer opportunities are youth and family-friendly and provide student service hours, group team building, and other benefits.

Kids Voting provides you with all the training and materials for your site so you can help Durham’s K-12 students cast their ballot on the same 2018 School Board candidates as adults. Youth 16 and older can run a site on their own, and families have volunteered with all ages of children! Running a site can be a great team building activity for a work, PTA, and youth and schools groups as well.
