Be among 50 drivers bringing Thanksgiving joy to our 600 clients on Thanksgiving Day!
You will pick up the hot meals at the Durham Rescue Mission office (1201 E Main St, Durham) between 9am and 10am, and then deliver the food to an assigned route within Durham County. Deliveries take about 1.5 - 2 hours, so your route will be done by about 12/1pm.
This is a great way to bring the holiday spirit into the homes of seniors in your community as well as your own home and family before digging into your Thanksgiving dinner!
Once you register for the event through the TNVLC portal, a Meals on Wheels Durham representative will send you a link to our Volunteer Application. Once the application is complete, we will help you sign up for a route. If you have a preference for what area of Durham County you'd like to make deliveries in, please let us know!
Drivers must be 18 or older, but volunteers of any age are welcome to ride along and help make the deliveries!
