We’re excited to host a special Wine Fundraiser supporting SLICE 325 and we need your help to make it a success!
Volunteers Needed (6 total, age 25+)
We're looking for 6 reliable, enthusiastic volunteers (ages 25 and older) to support event operations.
Volunteer roles
- Welcome & Registration (2 people) – greet guests, check names, provide event materials.
- Silent Auction & Book Table (2 people) – assist with auction sign-ups, share info, and process book sales.
- Event Support/Floater (2 people) – assist with wine tables, small bites, and guest support as needed.
- All volunteers will also assist with clean-up and breakdown at the end of the event.
Passage Readers Needed (2 additional)
We are also inviting 2 more passage readers to join our scheduled readers.
- Readers will share a short passage (5 minutes or less) from our featured books.
- Must be comfortable reading aloud in front of guests.
- A quick run-through will be included in the logistics meeting.
VR
Support Volunteer (Meta Quest 3)
Step into the future with us! We’re looking for volunteers to help guests enjoy
our Virtual Reality station during the SLICE 325 Fundraiser on
10/10/2025, 5:30–8:00 PM at ReCity, Durham, NC. As a VR Support Volunteer,
you’ll guide attendees in using the Meta Quest 3 headset, provide simple
instructions, and make sure everyone feels comfortable and has fun exploring
the experience. No advanced tech skills required just a friendly
attitude and willingness to learn.
Volunteer & Reader Appreciation
As a thank-you for your time and support, all volunteers and passage readers
will receive:
- One free book from SLICE 325
- A gift bag with appreciation items
⚠️ Important Notes (Time-Sensitive):
- Must be 25 years or older.
- Must be available to attend one in-person logistics meeting prior to the event (date/time will be provided).
- Please arrive at 4:30 PM on event day for orientation and set-up.
- Business casual dress is encouraged.
