World Food Day is an international day celebrated every year worldwide to commemorate the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in 1945. Durham's goal is also to educate the community about food insecurity, and provide accessible resources for families.
We need volunteers to assist with volunteer checking in/out. This includes having volunteers sign waivers, handing out t-shirts, and directing them to their volunteer lead. This position will require being seated for the majority of the shift & occasional standing with the possibility of moderate lifting.
We will offer volunteer training to be held in May, additional details will be provided at a later date. All volunteers should review training information prior to starting their shift.
Location: Durham Central Park, 501 Foster St., Durham 27701
