The West End Community Foundation is looking for a "Volunteer" Volunteer Coordinator to assist in managing their volunteers. This vital volunteer position would include:

Source and recruit volunteers through various techniques (databases, e-mail, social media etc.) Collect information on availabilities and skills Arrange for appropriate training when needed Produce schedules for everyday activities Assign responsibilities to the right people for special events Coordinate teams of volunteers for large-scale actions Communicate frequently with volunteers to ensure they are satisfied and well-placed Disseminate information for upcoming actions and events Keep detailed records of volunteers’ information and assignments Εnsure the purpose of the organization and its actions is clearly communicated

The CommUNITY Scholars program provides after-school tutoring for K-7th graders, Monday through Friday. The program matches an adult to each child to provide one-on-one tutoring in reading and math and assistance with homework.

 

Do you enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with children?

 

If so, WE NEED YOUR HELP for the remainder of this school year.

 

We are looking for adults (over 18) that enjoy working closely with children and have an understanding of one or more subject areas (subject and grade level) to work with children from now through the end of the school year. 

 

You can create your own schedule. Volunteers can choose to come one day, multiple days, or everyday, Monday through Friday -- whatever works best for you.
