Who We Are
The Lisa P Angels Foundation was formed after the tragic loss of our daughter/sister Lisa due to diabetes. We were determined to do something to honor her life and bring community awareness to this potentially devastating disease. The Lisa P Angels Foundation was formed shortly thereafter and is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for research to help find a cure for diabetes. In addition to donation to other charitable causes, once a month, an individual is selected to receive help with their diabetic supplies or medication. (i.e, strips, glucose meters etc).
What We Do
Lisa P Angels host an annual 5K walk/run hosted by the Lisa P Angels Foundation and Durham’s Bull City Play Street. We have had a huge success thanks to the generosity and support of family, friends and members of Durham and the surrounding communities. We had over 600 participants who walked, ran, laughed, played, ate and were educated and entertained by many health professionals and local talented performers.
We meet monthly to organize the walk, decide who will receive monetary help from us, and learn about other community resources we can make known to the community.
