Who We Are

Arts Access North Carolina is a non-profit dedicated to creating a positive impact at the intersection of arts, education and disability. Our vision is to have communities in which the arts are universally accessible. We value acceptance, lived experiences, partnerships and collaboration with those in our growing community.

What We Do

  • Provide a statewide platform for sharing information related to arts and disability through our website, social media and e-news.
    Sign up for our newsletter and connect with us!
  • Arts Access Gallery in Raleigh showcasing the work of disabled artists.
  • Organize and lead workshops and trainings statewide. Topics include Working with arts educators on professional development and educating staff of arts organization on best practices for including people with disabilities.
  • Provide Audio Description for performances at Triangle Area Venues, so that patrons who are blind or have low vision can fully experience theatrical productions.
  • Offer consultation and facility review services to arts organizations.
  • Contribute insight into developing and implementing an ADA accessibility plan.
  • Contribute one-on-one support to artists and arts patrons with disabilities!
