Who We Are
We’re a faith-motivated nonprofit that equips adolescent girls in high-risk situations through a long-term, holistic program of equine therapy and education to prepare each girl and her community with skills, resources, and opportunities so that she can gain access to a bright future.
Our journey started in 2008 at our Kildaire Farm. In 2019, we launched a second program serving SE Raleigh. We're excited to build out our new Neuse River Farm - the forever home for our Raleigh program!
What We Do
CORRAL believes that helping kids requires a holistic intervention. We must address the whole child: emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental while providing the skills needed to reach their goals and dreams.
Working with horses allows girls to address hurt, trauma and unhealthy patterns in a unique way. Horses help girls learn emotional intelligence and develop the leadership skills that are required of an equestrian - time and time again, we see these healthy relationship skills transfer over to the connections they make with people in their daily lives.
CORRAL believes that the support of a network of caring and consistent adults - combined with high expectations and accountability - equips students with the tools they need to envision, pursue, and achieve a bright future.
No matter their role, all our volunteers impact the kids we serve! We invite you to complete our volunteer interest form to learn more about the many ways to connect and serve.
