Guardian ad Litem District 15B

Our mission is to be the voice for the children in our community.

• Volunteers are trained as child advocates for abused and neglected children.
• Child advocates and attorneys work together to champion children's needs in court.
• Child advocates promote a safe and permanent home for children.

• Volunteers Guardians ad Litem (GALs) receive 30 hours of training and work closely with a supervisor.
• GALs conduct a comprehensive investigation in the child's needs and wishes.
• GALs participate in court hearings and submit reports to the court with recommendations on behalf of their child-clients.
• GALs strive to protect and promote the child's best interest.
