Outstretched Hands CDC

Outstretched Hands Community Development Corporation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) with both international missions and local initiatives. The AEffect.Change Cooperative Initiative is one such local initiative. It is based in Durham, North Carolina and focused upon fostering significant change for the better in the lives of Durham’s most vulnerable citizens.

The initiatives in which we engage are geared towards improving the lives of the chronically homeless, educating, empowering and elevating youth through mentorship and programs, diminishing recidivism within the community, and creating awareness that promotes efforts in health, wellness and sustainability. This year, our focuses on Homeless Advocacy, Mentorship, and Financial Literacy have motivated our resolve to establishing programs and curriculums that address the challenges our community faces in these areas of disparity.
