Who We Are

Straight Talk Support Group is a nonprofit organization created to support those currently and previously incarcerated and their loved ones. Our vision is to be a voice of the community that listens, informs, supports and empowers families and friends of the incarcerated and returning citizens. We want to offer our residents at our transitional housing 360 degree care, that goes past providing housing, to help their reentry to society go as smooth as possible. Our work will reduce recidivism and crime by helping these folks become productive members of society and their families.

What We Do

The heart of STSG is our transitional house for justice involved men who have recently been released from prison and need some help or guidance in their return to society. Most of our positions posted with be in relation to the house. We help our residents get connected to physical and mental health care providers, offer employment training and assistance, along with other life skills classes offered. We also have bi-weekly support group meetings for those whose loved ones are incarcerated, when one person goes to prison, their whole community is affected. STSG's goal is to offer the residents who came to stay with us 360 degree support so they can live healthy and fulfilling, independent lives once they leave us.
