Who We Are

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) membership organization that exists to support the Chapel Hill Public Library, enabling enhanced collections, programs and services for the community it serves.

We are governed by a board of elected members and manage our activities through various working committees (the heads of which are on our board). In addition to our need for volunteers to staff our book sales and book store, we are always looking for individuals who might have an interest in committee or board leadership responsibilities - whether it's managing an activity or providing board governance or financial oversight. You may share your volunteer interests and/or experience through our website or contact us directly.

What We Do

We raise over $150,000 each year to support the Chapel Hill Public Library. Funds are raised through the sale of donated books at three weekend book sales, a year-round book store and various other activities.  Please visit our website for more information.
