Note in the Pocket is proud to present the 6th Annual Socks & Undie 5K Rundie presented by Planet Fitness on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the beautiful Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, NC. A Kids Fun Run 1/2K is also available and you can register your furry canine friends to join you in the 5K. Come experience one of North Carolina's most beautiful parks as you run or walk a course rich in history and landscape. This fun event includes special Corporate Team and Run Group registration options, sure to make it one of the most enjoyable and impactful races in Raleigh!

Race Benefactor
As a non-profit serving the children in Wake County schools, Note in the Pocket started with a simple mission: To Clothe Children in Dignity and Love. Note in the Pocket believes that it is unacceptable that children are limited in their educational and social development because they do not have appropriate clothes for school. In 2018, Note in the Pocket received clothing requests for 4,381 individuals, mostly children, throughout all twelve cities and towns in Wake County. NITP has served nearly 20,000 individuals since receiving our 501C3 status in 2013.
THE COURSE AND PARKING INFORMATION
This fast and rolling course, certified by the US Track & Field Association, goes through one of North Carolina's most beautiful parks, Dorothea Dix Park. As Raleigh’s largest park, Dorothea Dix Park has over 300 acres of rolling hills with enough history to fill a museum! Along the way, you will enjoy a beautiful tree-lined course and catch a great view of the downtown Raleigh skyline. The course will include 1 hydration stop with both a water and sports drink option.
REGISTRATION OPTIONS & FEES
Online Registration closes on 4/24/2019.
All 5K participants have the option to be timed, but recreational participants are welcome and can register a non-timed participant. Only timed participants will receive an official record of their finish time and be eligible for awards.
The 5K entry fee starts at $35. Your registration includes a short-sleeve performance t-shirt. Shirt sizes can be selected through 3/31/2019. After 3/31/19, sizes and shirt availability cannot be guaranteed.
Corporate Team and Group "Rundie Team" options are available. Corporate Teams receive 1 complimentary race registration and custom race bibs.
The Dog Trot Run registration allows you to register your furry friend for only $10 and includes a youth size participant t-shirt for him or her. Woof! After 3/31/19, sizes and availability cannot be guaranteed. For the safety of other competitive runners, a short hand-held leash and harness are recommended to maintain control and reduce any dog anxiety other runners may have. Please note, retractable leashes are not allowed.
The Kids Fun Run 1/2K entry fee is $15. Kids Fun Run 1/2K registration includes a youth size t-shirt with size selection available through 3/31/2019. After 3/31/19, sizes and shirt availability cannot be guaranteed.
PACKET PICK-UP
Participants are encouraged to use pre-race packet pick-up to avoid long lines and delays on race day.
Pre-Race Packet Pick-up - Thursday, April 25th, 4-7pm
Pre-Race Packet Pick-up will be hosted at the Note in the Pocket Volunteer Center, located at 5100 Lacy Avenue, Raleigh from 4pm - 7pm on Friday, April 26th.
Race Day Packet Pick-Up & Registration - Race Day, 7am-8am
Race Day Packet Pick-up & Registration will take place at the start/finish of the race from 7am - 8am.
RESULTS & AWARDS
Results for timed-participants will be emailed to participants after the race.
Awards will be presented to the overall female and male winners, along with the top 3 finishers within the following age divisions: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; and 60+.
POST-RACE PARTY
Stick around after the race and enjoy music, food, and activities for the whole family.
