Key Responsibilities
Financial Tracking: Record donations and grants that support programs
Reconciliation: Monthly reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts to maintain financial integrity.
Vendor Payment and tracking: using Quickbooks to pay vendors
Budget Support: Assist the Board in tracking expenses related to community advocacy and education initiatives.
Reporting: Prepare straightforward quarterly financial statements to be shared during board meetings and with our community partners.
Donor Acknowledgement: Help track contributions to ensure our supporters receive timely tax receipts for their generosity.
Qualifications
Experience: Basic knowledge of bookkeeping principles; experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
Digital Fluency: Proficiency in digital tools like Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
Integrity: Ability to handle sensitive financial information with strict confidentiality.
Community Connection: A passion for digital equity and helping Durham residents thrive in the digital age.
