Bull City Woodshop (BCW) is a youth-centered nonprofit that guides individual development, fosters community connection, and cultivates creativity through woodworking. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a committed and financially savvy individual to serve as our Treasurer on the Board of Directors.
Role Overview
The Treasurer is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the financial health, transparency, and sustainability of the organization. This board position carries a 2-year commitment and works closely with the Executive Director and Finance Committee.
Key Responsibilities
Review and understand monthly financial statements and reports
Attend and participate in a virtual Board meeting once a month on the 4th Wednesday
Provide clear, accurate financial updates to the Board at monthly meetings
Monitor overall financial health and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Make recommendations to the Board based on financial analysis
Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
Qualifications
Experience reading, interpreting, and communicating financial reports
Comfort with nonprofit financial practices (or willingness to learn)
Strong analytical and communication skills
Commitment to the BCW’s mission of empowering youth through woodworking
