Do you live in or near SE Raleigh? Do you love food? Are you great with kids? Then, you should volunteer with the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle's Hunter Elementary School Sprout Scouts program! Sprout Scouts is an after-school garden club where students learn how to grow and prepare food as they explore the Camden Street Learning Garden. The garden is located two blocks from Hunter Elementary School, 5 minutes from the heart of downtown Raleigh, off of Camden St and E Davie St. The club meets every Tuesday from 4:00 - 6:00 PM beginning Februrary 6th, 2018.
What you have to look forward to:
- Set up and clean up, we begin setting up 30 minutes before club starts
- Supporting students through activities in the garden
- Helping students stay safe in the kitchen
