Helping hands are needed to help us redesign and renovate our Growing School Garden at Eastway Elementary School, 610 N. Alston Ave. Durham, NC 27701. Volunteers will demolish old garden beds, build new raised garden beds, and build a drip irrigation system to better meet the needs of the school.
We have some tasks anyone can help with like building the new beds, but we do need some skilled labor folks with good strong backs, wiling to load wheelbarrows with soil, and use pick-axes to dig a trench for edging.
