We need walk day volunteers!
Mark the Route: We need one (or a few) volunteers to mark the walk route prior to the walk, and remove the route signage after the walk. This involves stapling signage to telephone poles. The route is about a 4 mile walk through downtown Carrboro/Chapel Hill. Can be done by walking or driving.
Street Monitors: We need about 10 volunteers to be stationed at several stops along the walk route to keep an eye out for walkers safety as they walk. Street monitors will receive vests and signage and will be briefed by Carrboro police before the walk. Please arrive at Carrboro Town Commons at 1:30pm.
Water Stops: We need a volunteer to oversee the three water stops along the walk route. The water stops will already be set up with dispensers and water but we need someone to deliver cups (we already have cups) and check in.
Registration Table: We need about 5 volunteers to work the registration table at the Town Commons. Please arrive by 1pm.
T-shirt Sales Table: We need about 5 volunteers to work the sales table at Carrboro Town Commons. Please arrive by 1pm.
We need about 10 volunteers to help with general set up and clean up before and after the walk. This includes setting up tables and chairs and decorating. Set up volunteers should arrive at the Town Commons at 11:30am. Clean up will take place beginning 3:30pm.
