Geer Street Learning Garden will be hosting a Garden Party and Compost Giveaway community event on Saturday April 15th from 12:00-2:30. We are looking for volunteers to assist us with this exciting and family-friendly celebration! There will be two volunteer shifts, 10:45AM to 2:45PM and 11:15AM to 3:15 PM to accommodate setup and breakdown of the event. Volunteer activities may include moving tables and chairs, setting up activities, bagging and loading compost, greeting attendees, safely escorting attendees across Geer St, and more. All instructions will be given at the beginning of the shift. No garden experience necessary. The event will be held outdoors at Geer Street Learning Garden, 110 E. Geer St., Durham, NC.
Please dress appropriately for the outdoors and wear closed toe/heel shoes.
