Description

One of the greatest gifts you can give is your time

The difference between the impossible and possible lies in a persons heart, Miracle League allows you to make a impact on a players life as well as their loved ones

The Miracle League of the Triangle provides children and adults with special needs the opportunity to play baseball.  Serving nearly 500 players each spring and fall season, the League offers over 4,000 volunteer opportunities at 3 locations.

Previous baseball experience is NOT required but a caring enthusiastic spirit is.

To see the league in action, watch this short video from NBC News.  To learn more or register as a volunteer, go to www.MiracleLeagueoftheTriangle.com.

Buddy – Working one-on-one with players on the ball field, Buddies assist our players, hitting, running the bases, and in the field; keeping safety, friendship and enjoyment as their priority.

Umpires – Our umpires don’t call balls, strikes and outs, but they have an important role in our games. Keeping safety at Homeplate a priority, assisting coaches as needed and celebrating the accomplishments of our players are the principle goals.

Announcer – Announcers make a huge impact on the Miracle League experience, introducing players, providing some play-by-play to the game and giving encouragement to the players over the loud speakers. Volunteer must be familiar with our games.

DJ – If you are familiar with iTunes and an iPad, you can be a DJ.  We provide you with the playlists, you just start the song when a player comes up to bat.

MLT Store – We have a very simple concession stand that needs a winning smile.  Must be able to make change without a calculator.

Behind every smile is someone who put it there... be that volunteer:)
